Hearts With Hammers is a local version of our Appalachia mission and is a Resurrection Parish service ministry of teens and adults who spend a Saturday morning/afternoon several times a year, offering assistance with home repairs to families in our local community in need of a helping hand.
What the day looks like: depart together from Ava Maria school parking lot at 9:00am, returning by mid-afternoon (around 4pm). Everyone should bring their own bag lunch, water bottle, protective footwear, and permission form. If you can't start at 9am or stay until 4pm, no worries! Please join us for as long as you can! (But you'll need to provide your own transportation.)
If you have any of these, you can bring the following tools: hammer, speed square, pencil, tape measure, snips, utility knife, nail pouch or tool belt.
For questions regarding work day specifics or Hearts with Hammers in general, please contact Joe Schuck at jcschuck@gmail.com.
